Do you know a food bank in need of food to feed the hungry?
During these tough economic times, when so many folks are losing their jobs, we could no longer sit back and watch helplessly! Our family and our Apostolate are now reaching out to those who do not have enough food for their families.
Many folks may not have experienced what it is like to not have the basic neccesities (such as food), but I did growing up.
Although I never went completely hungry, we did experience a time when there was barely enough food in the house to feed us. My Mom's good friend came to the rescue. But what if she had not? We would have then experienced "real hunger". This act of kindness played a role in my mothers love of helping others. As she always said, " No one should ever go hungry".
What we're doing: On the 7th of each month we will select 7 Food Banks to which we will donate a total of fourteen cases of needed goods (2 cases each) . You can get the goodwill going by suggesting a food bank and we'll take care of the rest! You can help in two ways:

Please, help out if you can! -There are hungry children right here in America! Nearly 12 million children are at risk of going to bed hungry tonight. Imagine how a parent must feel in such a situation?? -1.2 million people went to foodbanks in the state of Washington last year (and it is much higher for other states..I only have stats on Washington at the moment)

-Over 100 million children do not have enough vitamin A.
-At a local foodbank, 60 percent of the parents said they skipped meals so their kids could eat (I know this to be true for alot of America) -It's not just "food"..but GOOD food that needs to be donated. The apostolate will not donate nutrient deficient foods.

The development highlights the powerful results ultrasounds have in convincing people of the humanity of the unborn child and the need to oppose abortions.
Abby Johnson had been the director of the Planned Parenthood center in this college town, that is home to Texas A&M University, until she turned in her resignation on October 6. She tells KBTX that seeing an ultrasound instantaneously prompted her to quit. "I just thought I can't do this anymore, and it was just like a flash that hit me and I thought that's it," she said. In the interview, Johnson admitted that Planned Parenthood doesn't make its money on promoting contraception or family planning, but through abortion. "It seemed like maybe that's not what a lot of people were believing any more because that's not where the money was. The money wasn't in family planning, the money wasn't in prevention, the money was in abortion and so I had a problem with that," she admitted. She also told KBTX she was told to bring in more women for abortions -- something that contradicted her Episcopalian upbringing. "I feel so pure in heart (since leaving). I don't have this guilt, I don't have this burden on me anymore that's how I know this conversion was a spiritual conversion," she said. Johnson said she will now work with the Coalition For Life, the pro-life group that operates locally and has a building down the street from the abortion business. She has been meeting with the coalition's executive director, Shawn Carney, and been seen outside the Planned Parenthood helping women find alternatives. KBTX indicates Planned Parenthood officials have hit both Johnson and the pro-life group with restraining orders requiring them not to disclose information about the abortions done at its facility. Rochelle Tafolla, a Planned Parenthood spokesperson, said, "We regret being forced to turn to the courts to protect the safety and confidentiality of our clients and staff, however, in this instance it is absolutely necessary."
That Johnson would admit that Planned Parenthood is more accurately described as an abortion business doesn't surprise pro-life advocates.
The Planned Parenthood Federation of America released its annual report for fiscal year 2007-2008 and it showed the nation's largest abortion business is getting bigger.
According to Planned Parenthood's latest report, abortions increased to 305,310 abortions up from 289,750 in 2006. That 5.3 percent increase came at a time when the Guttmacher Institute, it's former research arm, showed abortions were at near-historic lows. Looking at Planned Parenthood data from 1997 to the present, the increase in government funding corresponds with an increase in the number of abortions. (See image) In 1997, Planned Parenthood did about 160,000 abortions and received approximately $160 million in total taxpayer funding from various levels of government. Both the number of abortions and the amount of money received from government, supposedly for family planning to reduce abortions, has double since then. Planned Parenthood also says it helped just under 11,000 women in 2007 with prenatal care and pregnancy help services. Yet, prenatal care and adoption referrals resulted for only 5 percent of the total services provided to women in 2007 while abortions accounted for 95 percent of the services that year, according to Planned Parenthood's own figures. Let the world know. Tell all the nations one more time. I have cried and cried for my lost to return to me. I have ordered intercessors to pray. I have sent out the evangelists. I have launched missions. I have healed the sick. I have shown great and mighty miracles and yet you have not believed. In front of the Pharisees I have shown my awesome and loving power. They paint me as evil. They are the ones that are evil. I have reached to the atheist, and yet they still thumb their noses at me. I have shown truth to the religiously imprisoned, and have flown the prison doors open, yet they refuse to leave their cells of religion.
I told you to repent. I told you to turn to me. I told you to accept me, to let me back in. The great and powerful people were once peasants and convicts with no future, when I took over and turned them into a mighty empire of wealth and power, and then they kicked me out and didn’t even thank me!! Now they have elected a power that is spinning this great nation right into my wrath and destruction, and out of my will! I have warned the prince, and he now purposely fights against me! He fights against me! HOW DARE HE! I hold this “prince” responsible for the coming wrath. I have cried and cried to this nation and they chose to go further away from me. Now behold, the wolf comes. My girlfriend ran away after coaxing by "family" and "friends." She was past seven months pregnant with our son. After stopping for an abortion at one clinic she disapeared.
I got a call the next day to collect my son's body. He was "taken out" by C-section and survived, but left on a table to die from breathing difficulties. Nothing can ever bring my son back and he's all I think about, first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Its evil, its wrong, its cruel - it's possibly the worst thing in the world that could happen. I had to kiss my child goodbye In October of 2006 I found out I was going to be a Father. My girlfriend of 6 months was pregnant with our child. Neither of us planned this pregnancy, or had even talked about the possibility of getting pregnant. That was about to become my biggest regret. Like I said I wasn’t ready to have a child. She said she couldn't go forth in having a child and needed to abort. She went to the nursing staff at Boston College a week or two after she found out she was pregnant. The nurse at BC told her that she would be better off having an abortion, and told her where she could get one. I didn’t make a big deal of it at the time because I wanted her to stay calm and positive.
I brought her to a crisis pregnancy center in Boston when she was 5 weeks pregnant, so that she could explore her options other than having an abortion. The women at the center set up a date for her to get an ultrasound so she could see her child. We went to get her first ultrasound when she was 5 weeks pregnant. We weren’t able to see much at this point, but we did see the heartbeat of our child. The sono tech. said it was too early in the pregnancy to see our baby, and to come back in 2 1/2- 3 weeks. We came back 3 weeks later for another ultrasound, and that’s when we saw our baby. Our child was at 8 weeks gestation and had fingers, toes, eyes, everything. I saw and heard my child's heart beat and I cried. It was a very overwhelming and beautiful experience for me, until she looked over at me and said: “What are you crying about? Worms have heartbeats too”. Her sister had offered to pay $500 for her to get an abortion. She insisted she was going to get the abortion, was planning to get one that weekend, and broke up with me right before.
I called the abortion clinic and asked what my rights were; they said “You don't have any”. I then asked them, "What do you do with the aborted babies? I want to bury my child". They told me that it wasn't a child, it was a fetus, and to never call again or they would involve the police. My hands were tied. I, as a father had no legal right to protect my child from a death committed by a "doctor". I called everyone imaginable to see what my rights were and I got the same answer: “nothing”.
The week before my child was aborted; I went to try one more time to ask the mother of my child to not do this. But she was adamant about having an abortion, and told me to leave. So I then asked her if I could do one thing before I left, she told me that was fine. I then got on my knees and kissed the stomach of the mother of my child and said “I love you, and Daddy will see you in heaven”. I then took the ultrasound pictures and left.
The day my child was aborted was a very painful day for me. I was informed that my child had been aborted in the afternoon on December 2nd, 2006. It was the most painful experience I have ever been through. My relationship ended with the woman that I thought I was going to marry, and I lost my first child. I didn’t want to go on; I was in too much pain. I didn’t eat. I didn’t sleep. I had nightmares of my child being aborted. The day after my child was aborted, I went to see my pastor and he suggested that I have a memorial for my unborn child. I took his advice, and had one the following Sunday at his church. I had my parents and a few friends come. It was a short ceremony, but very painful. I never thought that my child would meet God before I did.
After that day things were still very painful. I still couldn’t sleep or eat, and thoughts of suicide filled my head every waking hour. I joined Bible studies, and post abortion Bible studies as much as possible. Those were the only people that would understand. There were times that I wouldn’t even receive support at church. A man is really not allowed to grieve the loss of his unborn baby. I was told things like: “Your child wasn’t even born, so get over it”, “It wasn’t a baby yet”, or even people saying “Your child deserved to die”. None of those things helped me heal and just put me in more of a state of depression.
That winter I was invited to a Right to Life march in Concord, NH. I thought it might be healing, so I went. While I was there, I met a man that ran crisis pregnancy centers in NYC. After speaking to him for awhile, he invited me down to NYC for the summer. I decided to go down and give it a shot.
On July 12th 2007, the day my child was supposed to be born, I went to NYC to serve God and help men and women in situations like I was in. While I was there, I counseled around 500 men and women, and through God, saved at least 100 lives from abortion. I continued to do this work in Manchester, NH by sidewalk counseling, counseling in centers, coordinated 40 Days for Life in New Hampshire, and started speaking to different Churches and events, sharing my testimony and how abortion affects men. I recently moved to Florida where I am doing the same work. Even though I never got to meet my child, I miss my baby ever single day. His church believes that only the KJV bible is the valid word of God and that it has the final authority...Last time I read though John Ch 1 It said JESUS was the word of GOD...and Hello only GOD has the final authority. YES YES the bible is Good, and Holy but only JESUS embodies the fullness of the word. John Chapter 1 clearly says JESUS is the Living word of God made Flesh Ironically the very last chapter and Verse of John (Jn ch 21:25) also is very clear that the whole world could not contain all the books that would need to be written of Jesus....So what is your FINAL authority?....a collection of God inspired words?...Holy but incomplete....OR JESUS The Word made flesh Himself who is the FULLENESS and COMPLETE word of God?...I know what my answer is!!!!
