  • thats a great skit.  to give you a little bit of an idea about me, i'm a college student, planning to go thru RCIA in the fall. I've felt the call to the priesthood for a few years, but my family and their religious zeal (i come from the Baptist background) has been the greatest obstacle in my faith.  This has led to a great deal of uncertainty and doubt about the prospect of becoming a priest, so i've taken a huge step back.  What would you do if your family (parents) were opposed to your practicing and living out the catholic faith?

    In Gods Peace,

  • @words_penetrate_like_needles -  Dear Zack, I know your struggle. I do not have time right now to explain in detail.....But I KNOW....My husband is Baptist. and my two boys are not baptised. I feel so blessed that you chose to reach out to me in suck a time as this in your life...such a tug-of-war. I posted this play not because it was CATHOLIC but because it had such a basic truth the Tug-of-War of the soul. The only heart felt advise I can give you is this....FOLLOW YOUR HEART...The Holy Spirit is a gentleman and He will only tug for so long. I myself can not deny JESUS in the EUCHARIST, nor MARY as the mother of All, Or the Wonderful COMMUNION of Saints. WE as the children of GOD are not separated by Death(or passing on from this world) Jesus said " I am the GOD of the living not the dead. I am the GOD of Abraham , Issac, and Jacob." He truly is the God of those who LIVE in Him and not of the Dead. And since we are ONE BODY, we CAN ask their intercession.....After all, they are in front of the eternal throne on GOD!!!! God Bless You in this Journey. I would love to correspond more with you this.
