Roman Catholics are the Original Christians. The name Catholic was widely used in the first and second centuries to differentiate itself from Heretical sects, Catholic means Universal. and many of the Beliefs and teachings were not objected to until the 1500's Even those who disagreed still held fast to many of the teachings and traditions.

This directly corresponds to JOHN 6:66 Where many of Jesus followers turned away from Christ and no longer followed Him because they could not accept His Teaching that His Body was TRUE food and His Blood TRUE drink.
In actuality the Bible you USE was originally painstakingly transcribed by Catholic Monks. Of course Protestants threw out 7(number of completion) books. That left them with 66 books. the number of man and the number of Incomplete or to fall short of God. The Catholic Bible still has all 73 books the number 7 for complete and 3 for God.
Martin Luther himself said "We are obliged to yield many things to the Papists (Catholics) That they posses the Word of God which we received from them, otherwise we should have known nothing at all about it."
St Augustine " I would put no faith in the Gospels unless the authority of the Catholic Church directed me to do so."
Protestants follow the Hebrew Canon which has 39 books. It was established by Jewish rabbis at Jamnia in Palestine about 100A.D. perhaps as a reaction to the Christian Church which used the Septuagint of 46 books from the Alexandrian Canon. This is the translation that Jesus Quoted from and is quoted from 300 times in the NT. This was the popular because the Region of the Mediterranean was Greek speaking not Hebrew the dying language.
The Jews of Jamnia rejected 7 books Wisdom, Sirach, Judith, Baruch, Tobit, and 1 & 2 Maccabees as well as portions of Daniel and Esther.
For 16 centuries the Alexandrian Canon was a matter of uncontested faith. In 1529 martin Luther proposed the Palestinian canon of 39 books hence came the removal of the 7 books listed above. If you Use the catholic Bible than you follow along with Jesus and the Early Church for The Alexandrian Canon of the OT is what Jesus quoted from. IF you Follow the PROTESTant bible than you follow what the non-christian Jews followed.
It is Ironic that Catholic means all encompassing and Universal and Protestant means Division and to protest. Not to mention Scripture says not to add or take away one word Yet Martin Luther purposely took away 7 books and then added the Word "ALONE" to Romans 3:28 which directly led to the "Sola Scriptura" or "Scripture Alone" heretical theology. For Scripture itself contradicts this when it says that we are to Hold Fast to the (oral) traditions handed down to us 1 Cor 11:2, 1 Pet 1: 25, 2 Thes 2:15, 3:6.
Another fact that is impossible to deny is that there are over 25,000 denominations in Protestantism and only One Roman Catholic church. Did you know I could go anywhere in the world go to mass and The very same scriptures for that day would be read no matter where I am at. That is UNITY. Also We do as the Lords Prayer says Give us our Daily Bread...Mass is said EVERYDAY and THE EUCHARIST is given EVERYDAY!!!
If you are Protestant....I point these contraditions of our Faith out because I love my Church. I am happily maried to a Baptist so we have Very lively debates. It has honed us and we are both stronger Christians as a result. Please, don't be angry but do respond. Share your viewpoint. We can debate and share. As long as we mutualy respect Christ in one another. God Bless!!!

Look, I dont know who you are, but I am well aware of the facts on how anorexics and bulimcs can become deadly thin. What you don't know is my body type, how much Im supposed to be, or what the bloody hell Im doing. Thank you very much for your concern, but I know how much is too much, I know that too much control isnt good, I know how far is too far, and I BLOODY HELL KNOW WHAT MY LIMITS ARE. You dont know me, you dont know how my body is supposed to be like, you have no clue how my body works, what is right for my body, my satisfaction weight scale, which by the way is not that far from what I would be had I not continuously binge on junk food (aka fries, soda, pizza, chocolate, etc). So, please, if you arent going to support me, LEAVE ME ALONE.
Oh and lady, please dont use religion on me. Yes, i know, religion is a guiding force in life, but please...dont push it down my throat
@i_saw_myself_morior - Why such venom? Like you I can post what I feel passionate about on my own blog. I have not pushed religion on you you CHOOSE to come to my site and read. I simply left you a positive message on your site and a link to my post on the dangers of anorexia. I never told you you had to read it or follow it. I only did it to bring awareness to those who would be interested in reading it. I was not pushy or mean I simply Asked God to Bless you and left a link. Yet it has infuriated you which makes me think it has hit a nerve with you and that would mean that somewhere in the depth of your soul you were stirred and you recoiled against the truth.
@i_saw_myself_morior - I find it interesting that you would use the phrase "push it down my throat" when talking about religion. You quickly regurgitated it like you do your food. I feel that there is a bit of satanic influence in many cases of eating disorders. Eating disorders are a very "me" thing. Your focus is on yourself rather than on others or on God. That is a very dangerous thing. Satan himself was all about himself. Please do not think I am comparing you to Satan. Rather know that I feel that Satan is attacking you through this disease and many other young people. I know a mother of two boys the same ages as mine who is severely anorexic. She will not be here to see her children grow up. How selfish is that. Eating disorder are all CONSUMING (instead of consuming food you are being consumed) Your self image is all wrong because you see with tainted eyes and not through the eyes of Jesus. Jesus who loves you and The same God who knit you together in your mothers womb who knows all about you. If you had a friend, sister, mother who was all consumed with this disorder would you not try anything to save them? Would you not be hurt that they are so self focused that they cannot see the pain they are causing their families and loved ones? It is an emotional cancer. It will literally EAT you alive and Then SPIT you out DEAD.
I am sorry. Yes, if you put it that way, I can see how you are just posting your beliefs. Yes, I was rude, but I was temporarily blinded by the "religion". Most people, specifically christians/catholics define EVERYTHING about their life in terms of religion -- which is ok. I could care less how u lead ur life so long as a person isnt getting hurt. But also, i find it irksome that these people go to random people and say "Hey, Ive got the best religion, follow it". Also, you said if u had a sister/friend/mother w/ this disorder, wouldnt u want to save them? Yes, I would want to help, but I really disliked the approach of many people. Yes, I am aware that I have anorexic tendencies, but please...try to understand. I dont think people who are walking clothes hangers are attractive. I just want to be what I would have been had it not been for my junk food binges. I mean, ok, sometimes people do eat 900 calories of chocolate and gum, but that isnt good either is it? What Im trying to do is go back to my "natural" weight, which IS NOT 111 lbs. Its not a bad weight....its just not what I am supposed to be. I mean, if I hit 105 and find it hard to go below that, I'll allow myself to stay 105. If I am 100, then so be it.
