The Three Days of Darkness

The Three Days have been announced by many mystics such as Bl. Anna-Maria Taigi, Elizabeth Canori-Mora, Rosa-Colomba Asdente, Palma d'Oria, in Italy; Father Nectou, in Belgium; St. Hildegard, in Germany; Pere Lamy, Marie Baourdi, Marie Martel, Marie-Julie Jahenny, in France. (This list is not exhaustive; many more mystics have announced the Three Days.)

In our opinion, when a very similar prophecy has been made by many people from different eras, and the holiness of the mystics has been recognized by the Church, we would be unwise not to believe in the possibility and probability of this prophecy.

Do not take our word or anyone's word on it. Always remember, the Church does not oblige us to believe in any particular prophecy as a matter of faith.

Because so many folks are eager to learn more about this prophecy, we have decided to post a bit about it. The following is from my friend Miles at endtimereports.com It is an abbreviated version, but worth reading. This is for your PRAYERFUL discernment:

THE IMPENDING SIGNS

Increasing violent disturbances on land, at sea, and in the air; earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, cloudbursts, breaking of dams, overflowing of streams and seas, huge tidal waves, floods, unusual "accidents" taking many lives, famines, epidemics, destruction, destitution, failure of crops, water and crops will change, becoming more" polluted" and less nourishing. Revolutions, downfall of governments, dissensions, wars, confusion in high places, lack of respect for authority, treachery, corruption, brutalities, atrocities. Breakdown of family life, immorality, adultery, infidelity, promiscuity, perversion and violence of youth, disobedience, lack of values, indecent nakedness of dress, countless sins and iniquities, people concerned only with eating, drinking, dancing, and pleasures. Flaunting of Church laws, irreverence and immodesty in church, lack of attendance at Church, neglect of holy conduct on Sundays, neglect of the sacraments, sinful pride in sham-religious activities, many "religious" will fall away and take souls with them, enemies, persecution, suppression of the Church will increase and there will be many martyrs. Lack of charity, heartlessness, indifference, and lack of concern for our neighbor, people turning against each other, even in the bosom of the family, people proud in their own knowledge, and turning away from God.

We are experiencing these things now. Just glance at the daily newspapers to see clearly the above impending signs.

THE IMMEDIATE SIGNS

The night will be BITTERLY COLD, the wind will howl and roar, then will come lightning, thunderbolts, earthquakes, the stars and heavenly bodies will be disturbed and restless. There will be NO light, but TOTAL BLACKNESS, utter dark will envelop the entire earth. This will come suddenly like a flash!

NOT A SINGLE DEMON WILL BE LEFT IN HELL. Hell will be emptied and EVERY evil spirit will be released to roam over the earth and do all possible harm to souls. The evil ones will appear in the most frightening forms and will fill the air with pestilence and poisonous gases, there will be "TERRIFYING APPARITIONS." Many will die from fear and despair, the wicked people will behold the Divine Heart of Our Lord.

"My angels, who are to be the executioners of this work, stand ready with pointed swords and they will take special care to annihilate all those who mock ME and would not believe in My revelations."

Hurricanes of fires will rain forth from Heaven and spread over all the earth, fear will seize mortals at the sight of these clouds of fire, and great will be their cries of lamentation, many godless WILL BURN IN THE OPEN FIELDS LIKE WITHERED GRASS. God's wrath will be poured out upon the whole world, the "chastisement" will be terrible, SUCH AS NEVER BEFORE, and will afflict the ENTIRE EARTH.

Satan will triumph in these awful days, and hell will appear to have gained possession of the world, but God will reclaim it, for even this chastisement is an act of God's mercy. He tells us NOT TO PRAY AGAINST IT, as it must come, but pray to save yourself and as many others as possible, and pray that these days may be shortened.

BETWEEN THE IMPENDING AND THE IMMEDIATE SIGNS--

There are predicted two other occurrences, as additional and final warnings before the terror of the three-day darkness. A Prodigy during which time EVERY soul will be shown exactly how they have offended God and to what extent. This will be a time of such intense personal suffering that many will "wish" to die, but no one will.

A Miracle similar to that at Fatima, a great wonder to convince many, predicted to take place on the Feast Day of a "young martyr" of the "Eucharist" but NOT on a holy day of Our Lady. The miracle will last for about a quarter of an hour and will be visible from Garabandal, Spain, and the surrounding mountains. Our Holy Father will see it no matter where he is at the time. This miracle will take place on a date which will be "announced" eight days BEFORE. Afterwards, God will leave a sign in memory of it.

THE CROSS IN THE SKY

As late as 1965, the three days of darkness was spoken of again in a holy person in Europe: "The Divine fire and the fire of hell will arrive and last during the days of darkness indicated by all the saints. My luminous cross will appear in the sky; it will be the sign that the final events are close, and will remind all of My terrible passion, so that they will have time to reflect, for I shall not punish the world WITHOUT PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT.

All will have time to comprehend the significance of that cross in the sky, and everyone shall see it. All will know, even those who "reject" it, that this My cross will be the sign that a Redeemer came once to bring salvation and pardon. My cross will be honored as never before.

WHAT TO DO FOR PROTECTION DURING THE THREE DAYS

As soon as you perceive the disturbed signs of the very cold night: Go inside, shut and lock all doors and windows, pull down the shades, keep the doors and windows well covered, go and stay away from doors and windows. Do not look out, do not go outside for any reason, and do not talk to anyone outside. ANYONE WHO LOOKS OUT OR GOES OUT WILL DIE IMMEDIATELY! The wrath of God is holy and He does not want us to see it.

LIGHT YOUR BLESSED CANDLES

All will be black, and the only thing which will give light will be blessed wax candles; even these will not burn in the houses of the godless scoffers.

Once lit, NOTHING WILL PUT THEM OUT IN THE HOUSES OF THE BELIEVERS. Be sure to keep a supply of blessed wax candles in your homes -- also Holy Water to be sprinkled freely around the house, especially at doors and windows. Bless yourself and others with it. Drink it and anoint your "senses" with it (eyes, ears, nose, mouth) and hands, feet, and forehead.

KEEP ON HAND a sufficient supply of food, water and blankets for those of your household and any visitors. Do not count on any utilities.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR ANIMALS by leaving enough food and water outside for them to last these days. God will preserve the property of the elect, including their animals. It is assumed that house pets may be kept inside. Animals which have been petted or cared for by a BLESSED person receive a certain protection.

KNEEL DOWN BEFORE A CRUCIFIX AND PRAY INCESSANTLY. Pray with outstretched arms, or prostrate on the floor, pleading for many souls to be saved. Make acts of contrition, of faith, hope, and love. Make acts of Spiritual Communion. Read spiritual books. PRAY THE ROSARY with meditation on its mysteries. "You must think more of the Passion of Christ."

CALL UPON GOD'S MERCY, and call upon Our Blessed Mother for He has given these times into the care of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary (under that title). "No harm will come to those who are in the state of grace and seek My Mother's protection."

FOR YOUR SPECIAL INTERCESSORS, call upon the Holy Trinity, Holy Mary, Saint Joseph, Saints Peter and Paul, Saint Therese (the Little Flower), Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, Saint Conrad of Parzham, the Holy Angels, your own Guardian Angels, and Saint Michael the Archangel. The cry: "Who is like unto God!" (the motto of Saint Michael) will serve as a protection to many.

Those who are caught traveling on the road and unable to get to shelter will die as martyrs and be taken to Heaven, if they are good. Some children and others will be taken to Heaven beforehand, to spare them the horror of these days.

"THOSE WHO DISREGARD THIS ADVICE WILL BE KILLED INSTANTLY."

These days of darkness have already been postponed by the increased prayers and the sacrifices of good people and through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother. They may still be delayed a little more, but make no mistake about it, THEY WILL COME, for in the merciful plan of God, this world must be purified of its sin. It is predicted that these THREE DAYS OF DARKNESS will come and NO ONE WILL ESCAPE THE TERROR OF THESE DAYS!

"I WILL FIND THEM ALL." -- This is Christ speaking.

THE AFTERMATH

After the three days of chastisement are over, there will be no UNGODLY PERSONS left, the godless will be annihilated. Seventy-five percent of humanity will be destroyed, more men than women.

Everyone left on earth will believe in God with all their hearts.

The devastation will be astonishingly great, but the earth will be purified. The spiritual fervor of the early Christians will return, but there will be so few men left on earth. When all seems lost, then in a twinkling, all will be saved, the sun will shine again and it will be as springtime, all fair and beautiful. The Holy Angels will descend from Heaven and spread the spirit of peace over the earth, and the just will be able to start life anew.

Some nations will disappear entirely, and the face of the earth will be changed. There will be NO MORE BIG BUSINESS, huge factories and assembly lines which sap men's souls and moralities. People will return to the land.

Our Holy Church will rise again, and religious communities will flower. A feeling of immeasurable gratitude will possess the hearts of those who survive this terrible ordeal and, upon the return of light, ALL SHOULD KNEEL DOWN IMMEDIATELY AND GIVE THANKS TO THE HOLY TRINITY FOR THEIR PROTECTION, AND BLESS GOD.

Then will follow the era of peace as promised by the Blessed Virgin at Fatima.

WE MUST GET AND REMAIN IN THE STATE OF GRACE NOW

We never know the day nor the hour when God may call us. We must let none of these signs turn us from our Holy Mother Church, but we must cling to our Holy Faith and TRUST IN GOD'S MERCY. He has promised to protect the just. Do not offend Him by lack of trust.

"Those who believe my words and spread this message will have nothing to fear. Those who fight for my cause will receive grace from My Divine Heart."

HAVE YOUR HOME BLESSED AND CONSECRATED TO THE HOLY HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY. And always keep on hand: Holy Water, Blessed Wax Candles, Blessed Palm, Blessed Crucifix, Images of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

RECOMMENDED PRAYERS AND DEVOTIONS

Holy Mother Church gives us a choice of many devotions and a great treasury of indulgences. She tells us that we should value indulgences highly and we should gain as many as possible for ourselves and others.

Be enrolled in and constantly wear the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which is "Our Lady's Livery." Every day recite the commutation prayers of seven times Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be, to gain the Sabbatine Privilege (rescue from purgatory the Saturday following your death).

Be enrolled in and wear the Miraculous Medal of Our Lady, which bestows such great graces. Remember her words when She sadly said: "Many people do not receive graces because they do not ask for them."

The Miraculous Medal Prayer

O Mary, Conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

It is well also to wear the Saint Benedict Medal, which is the highest indulgenced Medal of the Church. Learn and recite the prayers against Satan, which are engraved on the Medal.

We should cultivate such devotion to Saint Joseph. It is revealed that wherever the Blessed Virgin is, Saint Joseph is always with Her, because it was given to him to take care of Her.

We must always draw nearer to and rely upon the Holy Angels, remembering that they are not only our guardians but also our messengers, ready to do our bidding. There is a chaplet in honor of the Angels, which contains remarkable promises for those who recite it.

We are urged to make MANY MORE VISITS TO THE BLESSED SACRAMENT, and to make Holy Hours. If we cannot go to a Church for these things, then we should send our Angel to attend Holy Mass for us, to visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, to attend to our prayers.

We should make VERY MANY SPIRITUAL COMMUNIONS. Our Lord asked Sister Benigna to let not even a quarter of an hour pass without making a Spiritual Communion. SO DESIRABLE HIS IS.

The "Storm Novena" is valuable, in that it brings us to the Blessed Sacrament nine times in one day. Another devotion most pleasing to Our Lord is to His Holy Face. He not only wishes us to make reparation for the insults to His Holy Face, but he wants us to behold Him face to face for all eternity.

Saint Athanasius relates that the devils on being asked what verse in the Scriptures they feared the most, replied: "That with which the 67th Psalm commences: Let God arise, and let His Enemies be scattered, and let them that hate Him flee from before His face!" They added that this verse always compelled them to take flight.

We should give special attention to Saint Michael, the Archangel, and continue to recite the prayer (by Pope Leo XIII) after each Mass. This holy Pope composed this prayer after his terrifying vision of Satan's power of destruction in these times.

Much more devotion should be given to the Holy Spirit. We should be impressed with the importance of the Holy Ghost when we recall that Our Lord said that He must go, in order that the Holy Spirit could come, and "The Holy Spirit will teach you all things that you need to know."

We should not forget the Poor Souls in Purgatory. We ask them for favors, and pray for their release. They are very grateful for the prayers received from us and they respond in kind. They remember us when they get to Heaven and intercede for us before God Himself.

The Green Scapular continues to bestow many blessings and effect many conversions and returns to Church, with the prayer: "Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death."

In Our Lord's revelations to Berthe Petit, He particularly asked devotion to Our Blessed Mother under the title of "Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary."

A prayer too much forgotten is the one which Our Lady of Fàtima asked to be said when we offer sacrifices: "O Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary."

When Sister Josefa Menendez (called the "second Margaret-Mary") asked Our Lady for a prayer to be said constantly while working, She gave this: "O My Beloved, Who art also My God, make my heart a flame of pure love for Thee!"

Very great promises to save countless souls accompany this little prayer which Our Lord taught to Sister M. Consolato Betrone (Capuchin Nun): "JESUS, MARY, I LOVE YOU! SAVE SOULS!"

The fifteen prayers of Saint Bridget of Sweden, on the Passion of Our Lord, are most timely, since Our Lady has recently impressed upon us that we "must think more of the Passion of Jesus."

In one of Our Blessed Mother's revelations to a stigmatic nun in Italy, she said: "My daughter, the time is not far off. When men least expect it, the course of Divine Justice will be accomplished.

"My Heart is so big for poor sinners and I make use of every possible means that they may be saved. Look at My Mantle, how big it is! If I were not bowed over the world, to cover all with My maternal love, the tempest of fire would already have broken upon the nations.

"This is the mantle of My Mercy for all those who, have repented, come back to My Immaculate Heart. See. My right hand holds the mantle to cover and save poor sinners, while My left hand holds back Divine Justice so that the time of mercy may still be prolonged.

"To help me in this, I ask that the prayer of 'Maternal Refuge' be spread as a most useful means to obtain graces and salvation for poor sinners."

With Arms Crossed, Say Often: "QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE, MEDIATRIX OF MEN TO GOD, REFUGE OF ALL OUR HOPES! HAVE MERCY ON US!"

Prayer for Healing

Almighty and merciful Father, by the power of your command, drive away from me all forms of sickness and disease. Restore strength to my body and joy to my spirit, so that in my renewed health, I may bless and serve you, now and forevermore.

Healing Prayer of Surrender

Dear Lord Jesus, it is my will to surrender to you everything that I am and everything that I’m striving to be. I open the deepest recesses of my heart to you and invite your Holy Spirit to dwell inside of me.
 
I offer you my life, heart, mind, body, soul, spirit, all my hopes, plans and dreams. I surrender to you my past, present and future problems, habits, character defects, attitudes, livelihood, resources, finances, medical coverage, occupation and all my relationships.

I give you my health, disabilities, physical appearance, home, family, marriage, children, sexuality and friendships. I ask you to take Lordship over every aspect of my life. I surrender to you all my hurt, pain, worry, anxiety and fear, and I ask you to wash me clean.

I desperately need to feel your loving embrace. Shut the doors that need to be shut and open the doors that need to be opened. Healing Prayer of Isaiah 53

Precious Lord Jesus, I thank you for your loving care. You came into the world to set me free from the consequences of sin. You embraced the violent death of the cross to pay the penalty on my behalf. You suffered the scourging at the pillar, taking the sickness of humanity upon your own flesh, so that I could be healed.

I come before you now to place all my sins upon your cross and ask for your precious blood to wash me clean. I place the penalty for my sinfulness, all my sickness, diseases and infirmities upon your cross, and for the sake of your sorrowful passion, I ask to be set free. I accept your sacrifice and receive your gift of reconciliation. I confess your Lordship over every aspect of my life, heart, mind, body, soul and spirit.

Through the power of your cross Lord Jesus, I now resist all forms of sin, sickness and disease. I say to all forms of sin, sickness and disease, that you are not God’s will for my life. I enforce the power of the cross upon you right now.

By the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command all forms of sickness and disease to leave my presence immediately. Jesus bore my infirmities. He was wounded for my transgressions. By his stripes I have been healed. No sickness, pain, death, fear or addiction shall ever lord over me again. The penalty has been paid in full. I have been ransomed and redeemed, sanctified and set free. Amen.

Prayer of Reconciliation

Dear Lord Jesus, for the sake of your sorrowful passion, I ask you to forgive all my sins, especially those that have allowed any form of sickness or disease to enter my body and harm my health. I humbly ask you to send forth the Holy Spirit’s gift of conviction and shine the light of truth into the deepest recesses of my soul, so that I may make a complete act of contrition before you now.

Lord Jesus, please forgive me for all my sins, especially for any unknown and hidden sins. I am heartily sorry for having offended you. I ask forgiveness for all the times I failed to make you Lord over my life. Forgive me for having other gods before you; for buying images, bowing down and serving them; for taking your most holy name in vain and for failing to observe the Sabbath day of rest. Please forgive me for not honoring my father and mother, committing the sin of adultery or abortion, stealing, bearing false witness and coveting my neighbor’s spouse, property and possessions.

Please forgive me for not loving you with my whole heart, mind, body, soul and spirit, for not loving my neighbor as myself and for disrespecting the temple of your Holy Spirit. Please forgive me for not taking better care of my health, for eating unhealthy foods and poisoning my body with chemicals, drugs, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and any other harmful substance or medication.

Please forgive me for committing the sins of hypocrisy, intolerance, unforgiveness, ungratefulness, disbelief, deception, disobedience, envy, pride, fantasy, fornication, idolatry, impatience, division, dissension, offending others, hard-heartedness, hate, haughtiness, anger, rebellion, gambling, greed, intimidation, jealousy, perfectionism, judgmentalness, lust, legalism, manipulation, resentment, rudeness, sexual idolatry, sexual immorality, sexual impurity, sexual perversion, selfishness, self-centeredness, self-righteousness, self-pity, slander, worry, vanity, worldliness, witchcraft, addictions, dependencies, complaining, gossiping and all other forms of unrighteousness.

Lord Jesus, I ask you to forgive me for all my sins, trespasses and transgressions and to cover all my offenses with your most precious blood. Surround me with your light and penetrate the very depths of my being with your love. Let no area of darkness remain in me, but transform my whole being with the healing light of your infinite love.

Healing Prayer of Command

Precious Lord Jesus, you came into the world to heal our infirmities and endure our sufferings. You went about healing all who were sick and bringing comfort to those in pain. By a simple command you rebuked Peter’s mother-in-law’s fever. You spoke directly to the illness, condemned it for its actions and commanded it to leave her body.

In the same way, Lord, you have called all of your disciples to follow your example. You have given us power over all the works of the enemy and sent us forth to make disciples of all nations. In the healing tradition of the church, and through my obedience to your written Word, I hereby take authority over all forms of sickness and disease that have been attacking my body.

In the name of Jesus, under the power and authority of the Lord God Almighty, I command all forms of demonic illness to leave my body now and go straight to the feet of Jesus Christ. Your assignment and influences are over. I rebuke all pain in the name of Jesus, and I command it to get out of my body right now. I rebuke all spirits of infirmity, nerve disorder, lung disorder, brain disorder, heart disease, AIDS, cancer, hypochondria, fatigue, anorexia, leukemia, arthritis, tumors, abnormal growths, diabetes and all other forms of sickness to leave my body now in the name of Jesus.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for your healing power. I ask you to send forth your ministering, medical and surgical angels, to repair and restore any damage that was caused in my body by the presence of sin, sickness or demonically influenced infirmities. I ask that you send forth your Holy Spirit and fill me with your love, light, peace and joy. Come Holy Spirit and transform me into the child of God that you intended me to be.

Prayer to the Divine Physician

Dear Lord Jesus, you went about healing all those who were sick and tormented by unclean spirits. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk. You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from the dead.

O Divine Physician, I come to you now in great need of your intervention. I surrender my life and health into your loving hands. I ask you to send forth your healing power into my heart, mind, body, soul and spirit. Remove from me every lie of the enemy and destroy all the word curses that have been spoken against my health.

If I have accepted medical beliefs that I should not have, I ask for your forgiveness and denounce those beliefs right now. I break every agreement that I have made with my sickness and disease. I denounce every symptom of my illness, and I ask to be set free by the power of your truth.

Please send forth your Holy Spirit to renew my mind and cleanse my thoughts. I refuse to bow down and serve the symptoms of my illness any longer. Please draw my attention away from myself, and help me focus on your enduring love.

O Divine Physician, you are the source and strength of my recovery. Show me how to proceed with your plan for my restoration. I surrender my healthcare into your loving hands. Please help me to discern every aspect of my treatment, medications and recovery process, so that my every thought and action conforms to your good and perfect will for my life. Amen.

Prayer for Inner Healing

Almighty and everlasting Lord, I come before you now in great need of your mercy. You are the doctor and physician of my soul. I humbly beseech thee to send forth your healing power into every area of my inner-woundedness. I surrender to you all areas of unforgiveness, especially those hurtful past events where anger and bitterness have been allowed to fester, causing harm to my physical health.

I ask for your grace to forgive every person in my past who has ever hurt me. I forgive my father and mother and ask to be set free from all forms of mental, emotional and psychological ailments. I forgive my brothers and sisters for their sibling rivalry, selfishness and divisiveness that have caused strife within our family. I forgive my friends, coworkers and neighbors for all their harmful actions and the unkind words they have spoken against me.

I forgive my spouse, children and all my extended family members, and I ask for your loving grace to heal all the circumstances where I failed to receive the love, affection, support and respect that I needed. I forgive all those who have violated my sexual purity, and I ask to be set free and washed clean by the power of your purifying love. I forgive myself for my past mistakes and failures, and I ask to be set free from all destructive consequences, guilt, shame and self-condemnation.

I forgive all those in positions of authority, especially those doctors, nurses, healthcare providers, insurance adjustors, paramedics, police officers, government officials, former employers and members of the clergy who have treated me unjustly. I forgive my greatest enemies and those who I have vowed that I would never forgive. I break those vows right now by the power of your name Lord Jesus.

By an act of my free will, I choose to forgive everybody, including the person who hurt me the most. I release my desire to receive an apology, my need to be justified in my actions and my need for others to acknowledge the injustice. I surrender the entire debt of all injuries into your merciful hands, Lord Jesus. I denounce all forms of anger, bitterness and resentment, and I command every evil spirit that has entered my body through the lack of forgiveness to leave now and go straight to the feet of my Lord, Jesus Christ.

Through the power of your Holy Spirit, I ask you Lord Jesus to fill me with your love, peace, patience, kindness, generosity and self-control. May your healing hand rest upon me now as I bless all those who have hurt me. I desire to be kind and compassionate to everyone, forgiving them just as you have forgiven me. I ask for the healing power of your love to flow through every cell of my body and into the lives of those whom I have forgiven. Amen.

Generational Healing Prayer

O Father of mercies and God of all healing, I come before you as your child, in great need of your help. Many of my problems and physical health needs have been caused by my own failures, neglect and sinfulness. Others have been passed down through my family lineage in the form of genetic defects from my ancestors.

I humbly beseech thee Lord Jesus to go back into my past and forgive my parents’ and grandparents’ sins, especially for those sins that have exposed me to genetic and physical defects. I ask you to place your cross between me and my parents and grandparents and cleanse my entire family lineage all the way back to the beginning of time.

Precious Lord Jesus, please look upon my physical and emotional health needs with your great love and mercy. I ask that you send forth your medical angels to minister to every area of my genetic composition. Please heal every infirmity and abnormality in my brain chemistry and all my thought processes where disturbances are present. Heal all the damage caused by my mother’s stress, neglect or abuse when I was being formed in her womb. Please remove all defective and mutated genes and restore my genetic composition back to its original and proper condition.

If my parents’ or grandparents’ sins have exposed me to any form of demonic illness or generationally inherited curses, by the power of the Lord, God Almighty, I take the sword of the Spirit and cut myself free. I command all evil spirits of infirmity, sickness and disease to leave my body now and to be consigned into the everlasting lake of fire. Your assignment and influences are over.

I call forth the heavenly host, the holy angels of God, to surround, protect and cleanse all areas vacated by the forces of evil with God’s holy light. I ask the Holy Spirit to permeate my heart, mind, body, soul and spirit, filling me to overflowing with the life and love of my Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer of Confirmation

Lord, God Almighty, I thank you for protecting me from every form of evil and bringing me the gift of your divine health. I thank you for breaking the chains of oppression and delivering me from every form of sin, sickness, disease and lie of the enemy. In the power and authority that you have given me, I say to all addictions, perversions, chemical dependencies, hopelessness, worry, doubt, fear, despair and all symptoms of any such illness that you must bend your knees now to the name of Jesus. I cast down every argument and proud obstacle that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. I bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Prayer for Peaceful Rest

Dear Lord Jesus, as I rest in the comfort of your love, I ask to experience your gentle embrace as you tenderly wrap your loving arms around me. I trust your compassionate care will bring peace to my mind, serenity to my heart and renewal to my spirit.

The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy

The Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed on Rosary beads.

Make the sign of the cross.

1. On the first three beads: say the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Apostles Creed

2. For each of the five decades on the large bead (the one you’d say the Our Father on in the rosary) say:

Eternal Father,
I offer you the Body and Blood,
Soul and Divinity,
of Your Dearly Beloved Son,
Our Lord, Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins
and those of the whole world.

3. Then, on the ten small beads (the ones you’d say the Hail Mary on in the rosary) for each of the five decades, say:

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.

4. After the five decades, you recite the following, three times:

Holy God,
Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us
and on the whole world.

In 1933, God gave Sister Faustina a striking vision of His Mercy,
Sister tells us:

"I saw a great light, with God the Father in the midst of it.
Between this light and the earth I saw Jesus nailed to the Cross
and in such a way that God, wanting to look upon the earth, had to
look through Our Lord's wounds and I understood that God blessed
the earth for the sake of Jesus."

Of another vision on Sept. 13, 1935, she writes:

"I saw an Angel, the executor of God's wrath... about to strike
the earth...I began to beg God earnestly for the world with words
which I heard interiorly. As I prayed in this way, I saw the
Angel's helplessness, and he could not carry out the just
punishment...."

The following day an inner voice taught her to say this prayer on
ordinary rosary beads:

"First say one 'Our Father', 'Hail Mary', and 'I believe'. Then on
the large beads say the following words:

'Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity
of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement
for our sins and those of the whole world.'

On the smaller beads you are to say the following words:

'For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the
whole world.'

In conclusion you are to say these words three times:

'Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us
and on the whole world'.

Jesus said later to Sister Faustina:

"Say unceasingly this chaplet that I have taught you. Anyone who
says it will receive great Mercy at the hour of death. Priests
will recommend it to sinners as the last hope. Even the most
hardened sinner, if he recites this Chaplet even once, will
receive grace from My Infinite Mercy. I want the whole world to
know My Infinite Mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to
those who trust in My Mercy...."

"....When they say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I
will stand between My Father and the dying person not as the just
judge but as the Merciful Savior".

The two men spoke for half an hour in the 12th century Tower of St John, a private area in the Vatican gardens which is used by the pope for private reflection.

The usual protocol for heads-of-state is a meeting in the pope's library in the Apostolic Palace, but a spokesman for the Vatican said Benedict wanted to reward Mr Bush for the "warmth" of his reception at the White House earlier this year.

The two men have grown increasingly close in the past two years, and Mr Bush was overheard whispering: "What an honour, what an honour, what an honour!" as he ascended the steps to the tower.

After a stroll through the Vatican gardens, the men listened to a recital by the choir of the Sistine Chapel. However, Mr Bush did not, as expected, kneel in prayer before the Grotto of the Madonna of Lourdes. It was thought that he may have prayed with the pope in private. Mr Bush prayed with Benedict in the Oval Office during the Papal visit to the US in April.

Several Italian newspapers cited Vatican sources suggesting that Mr Bush may be prepared to convert. One source told Il Foglio, an authoritative newspaper, that "Anything is possible, especially for a born-again Christian such as Bush."

He added that while the Holy See deplored the war in Iraq, "on ethical matters he has always had a line that is practically identical to that of the Vatican." Mr Bush has spoken out against gay marriage, abortion and stem cell research. He proposed amending the US constitution to "fully protect marriage" as the "union of man and woman as husband and wife".

He has repeatedly made clear his admiration for Benedict and has even claimed to have read some of the pope's theological books.

A source close to the Vatican said that Mr Bush was the most "Catholic-minded" president since John F Kennedy, who famously played down his Catholicism. Mr Bush belongs to a Methodist church in Texas and prays at an Episcopal church in Washington.

However, George William Rutler, a New York-based priest who is close to the president, was quoted by the Washington Post earlier this year saying that Mr Bush "is not unaware of how evangelism, by comparison with Catholicism, may seem more limited both theologically and historically".

Mr Bush has filled the White House with Catholic speech-writers and consultants and is also thought to have asked a Catholic priest to bless the West Wing.

Before he became president, Karl Rove, his former political adviser, invited Catholic intellectuals to Texas to lecture the candidate on the church's teachings. Mr Bush appointed the Catholic judges Samuel Alito and John Roberts to the Supreme Court.

However, it is thought unlikely that Mr Bush would convert until after he has left office. Jeb Bush, the president's brother, has already converted to Catholicism.

Catholics have noted that during the contested election in 2000, Jeb Bush travelled to Mexico and prayed to the icon of Our Lady of Guadelupe. His victory was announced by the Supreme Court on December 12, the feast day of the Lady of Guadelupe.

The Death of Jesus

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich says President Obama's plan to raise taxes on upper-income earners is designed to create bigger government and a more secular America.

Author and political commentator Newt Gingrich of American Solutions calls President Obama's tax program a "war against churches and charities." Gingrich accuses President Obama of "deliberately" trying to take away the charitable deduction for successful people so they will not give as much money to churches or charities.
 
"I think there's a clear to desire to replace the church with a bureaucracy, and to replace people's right to worship together with a government-dominated system," he contends.
 
The former House Speaker says the Obama administration is talking seriously about taking away the right of conscience in terms of performing abortions.
 
"This is most aggressive, militant, secular program I can remember," Gingrich admits. "And I think you have to be really clearly aware that they want an America which is radically different than the country which was created by those pioneers who first landed back in 1607 at Cape Henry and erected a cross to thank God for having allowed them to cross the Atlantic Ocean."
 
Gingrich believes people often forget that the first act of the first successful American colony was to "erect a cross at Cape Henry, to thank God for their survival and their salvation, and then to go up to Jamestown to found the colony."
